AuNaturale Cosmetics was launched in 2014 and was driven by Prange and Sawyer’s desire to produce a “healthy” cosmetic line that offers exceptional quality products and an upscale yet artistic color palette. Au Naturale prides itself on being a non-toxic cosmetics range for today’s health savvy, socially conscious and fashion-forward woman.

The products in Julie Henderson Au Naturale Beach Bombshell Collection are designed to be worn either together or separately.  To get the best results, and achieve the perfect natural, beauty look this summer, use the products in the following manner:

1)    Start by using your fingers to apply the Organic Crème Concealer, which will hide any unwanted under eye dark circles or unwanted blemishes.

2)    Next apply the Organic Crème Eye Shadow Stick, which comes in a glittering beige, ideal for all skin tones.

3)    Then, use either a brush, finger tip or sponge to highlight the high points with the Organic Crème Bronzer stick.  The Bronzer Stick is intended to naturally high light where the sun would hit first.

4)    Follow with the Organic Cream highlighter, putting it above where you have put the bronzer to create luminous, dewy skin.

5)    Finish with the Organic lipstick and or lip gloss, which are both food grade and contain nourishing organic oils, good for the skin.

Now you have the perfect sun-kissed look!

Cute Ways to Wear Overalls Wed, 21 May 2014 14:31:21 +0000 The 90s came back in a big way bringing trends like crop tops, overalls, oversized sweaters and neon colors to the runways and fashionistas everywhere. The breakout star of that bunch is definitely overalls. Everywhere you look this summer stylish ladies were wearing overalls. They have been spotted on models like Alexa Chung and style blogger The Man Repeller. If you want to try this trend out wear your overalls with a blouse, crop top or stripe shirt. Avoid wearing a wifebeater or flannel unless you want to look like a farmer.

If you want to look chic and put together wear slightly baggy overalls with a white silk blouse, a red scarf and brown suede ankle booties. Style your hair in a polished top bun and wear minimal makeup with red lips.

Wear beat-up long overalls with a striped crop top and birkenstocks. Birks are dorky sandals, but they make your look strangely cool. Complete your look with a messy and chic model off-duty hairstyle.

This look is perfect if you’re going to a festival like Coachella. You can wear short overalls, a modern tie-dye shirt and flat sandals. Accessorize your look with beaded bangles, a crossbody bag and flower crown.

Three Natural Skincare Lines for Spring Mon, 12 May 2014 14:52:58 +0000  We guzzle fresh juices and munch on lush salads. But what about food for our skin? The latest trend, that’s hopefully here to stay, is fueling the skin with natural, edible ingredients. For some of us, smearing avocado on our face or the sting of bee venom does not sound too appetizing. So here are three growing brands whose products pack revitalizing ingredients without any messy side effects.

Indie Lee

After suffering from a brain tumor in 2009, Indie Lee set out on a mission to rid toxins from her everyday life. Realizing the number of chemicals that often goes into skin products, she decided to start there. Her namesake brand uses only all-natural ingredients in the forms of cleansers, oils, serums and more. The products use a bare minimum of elements, which are often fruits or florals. Fan favorites are the Squalane Facial Oil and the Rosehip Cleanser.

Pai Skincare

Designed for sensitive and allergy-prone skin, the brand is great for those who are wary of skin inflammation. The products have no parabens, alcohol, beeswax or other skin irritants such as propylene glycol. Featured ingredients are avocado, rosehip, and jojoba, which help to sooth and hydrate skin.

Juice Beauty

Available at Whole Foods, Juice is a more affordable option compared to the other higher end brands. Their products, which cover the gamut of skincare, makeup and hair care, use USDA Certified organic ingredients.  Each product packs in an average of seven naturally potent extracts, from the more exotic algae and jojoba to kitchen staples like carrot and apple.

How to Put on a Fabulous Girls Night! Mon, 28 Apr 2014 14:02:44 +0000 ladies-collage

In this go-go-go, social media driven world – it’s easy to get swept up in our own busy lives and have months go by without having some quality time with our soul mates. And by soul mates – I mean, our best lady friends.

When we get a second to breathe – the best plan of action is to plan a fabulous girls night. But how do you get everyone together and having fun without a hitch? Here’s a simple guide.

1. Plan, plan, plan. While spontaneity is fun – if you’re trying to get a group of fabulous and driven ladies together – you’re going to need a plan. And one that’s set into motion at least 2 weeks ahead of time. We all have different jobs, different home lives, and different extracurricular activities – give your girls the chance to pencil the evening in and make sure they keep it open.

2. Communicate via a platform everyone uses – and often. Believe or not – but not every millennial has a Facebook. If you know you have a close friend who isn’t glued to social media – make plans using a method everyone checks. Email, group texts, or actual paper invites will make sure everyone gets the message.

3. Be courteous of everyone’s budget. You may work 8-6 at a financial firm – but your struggling actress BFF does not. The time you spend is more important than the money you spend. Skip the tasting menu and offer up a low key pot luck at your apartment or a cheap dinner at a B.Y.O.B restaurant.

4. Keep everyone interested by having them contribute. This can be as small as asking a friend to help keep tally of the invitees or as involved as having someone show up early to help you prepare a 3 course meal. Use your friends talents and interests to the entire groups advantage. Have a math wiz girlfriend? Put her in charge of the check. Know a lady who loves to craft? Ask her to make a favor for guests to take home.

5. Have fun, obviously. Sometimes plans go array – don’t stress. If you got your girls in one place at one time – you’ve succeeded. Drink some Prosecco, tell some stories, and laugh it up. True friends are those who you can sit in silence with and still enjoy yourself.

6. Send a thank you. A day or two after the hang session – send a quick email or mass text thanking everyone for coming. Suggest an activity for next time or simply throw out a tentative calendar date – and get the next hostess’ wheels turning.

Four Ways to Rock the Crop Top/Skirt Combo Wed, 09 Apr 2014 14:55:45 +0000 Skirts are lengthening while shirts are shrinking. As odd as it seems, celebs have been cropping up (pun intended) everywhere in long feminine skirts with a matching mini top.  Kim Kardashian, Shailene Woodley, Miranda Kerr and others have dabbled in the trend. Here are a few more practical ways to try the style out for yourself.

 1)   If making a huge statement isn’t your thing, try a muted color. Kim Kardashian tones it down—if that’s possible for Kim—in all white. article-0-1C3AB34900000578-21_306x738

2)    Cover up! Jamie Chung adds a fun leather jacket that pulls the eyes away from the midriff.

3)    Still nervous about being too out there? Ditch the matchy-matchy look to take things down a notch. Coordinate colors or mix totally different ones, like Anne Hathaway.

4)    Who said a crop top had to be involved? Tuck your top into a lady-like skirt for a classic look. Or work it like Solange and add the matching element through the jacket.

Fashion Icon of the Month – Audrey Hepburn Tue, 08 Apr 2014 13:55:25 +0000 03-_audrey_hepburn

This April, we are going back in time and choosing Audrey Hepburn for Manchester PR’s pick for Fashion Icon. I’ve adored Ms. Hepburn since the 8th grade, when my English teacher decided I choose her for a biography project (in which we had to dress up as said icon) on the basis that I resembled her. I had no idea who she was at the time – and I am still grateful everyday that my eyes were opened to this beauty.

Born in Belgium in 1929 – Audrey spent the majority of her childhood studying at the Arnhem Conservatory in The Netherlands. Once the Nazis invaded the country – Audrey and her mother struggled to survive. A result of poverty and famine, this struggle led to the waif-like figure she kept throughout her life. Audrey went from dance performances to acting on small stages before making her film debut in 1951′s One Wild Oat. Made famous by her role in Roman Holiday – Audrey became an instant fashion icon.

A combination of doe-like eyes, natural beauty, and effortless style – Audrey’s chic and timeless style is easy to recreate. Throughout the making of films Sabrina, Funny Face, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s Audrey’s movie wardrobe was created and styled by designer Hubert de Givenchy and stylist Edith Head – both of which were Ms. Hepburn’s close and personal friends. However, even when not on set – Audrey always looked pulled together from head to toe. Her happy radiance and elegant demeanor have solidified her spot as a style icon to endure the test of time. Little black dresses, crisp white blouses, simple trousers, and ballet flats owe everything to Audrey in becoming fashion staples.

Below are some of MPR’s favorite looks of Audrey Hepburn:

Astrid Mueller is a Swiss illustrator, wedding and jewelry designer, and brand aficionado that studied in Zurich, New York, and London. She is now based in Alaska and is the designer behind possibility, a line of jewelry made from a clear material called Lucite that engraves beautifully.

Astrid launched the possibility line because she realized that like other successful, hardworking professional women she too forgot to celebrate her accomplishments. Out of this realization the possiblity line was born. The line features drop and stud earrings, cuffs, bracelets, cocktail rings, hairpieces and cuff links all made from Lucite.
